Welcome to Skipper Stables, Inc., home of Five Star Mister, World Champion. Five Star Mister, bred and raised by Larry & Ellen Skipper of L.R. Skipper Stables, Inc. was born on February 8, 1993 to one of the Skipper's mares - "Name Your Poison", a daughter of "Impressive Poise".  Five Star was very fortunate to be able to win several futurities and when he was 8 months old he even stood Grand Champion over all ages at the Georgia Gold Kist Golden Crown Futurity.  He went on to win the 10 points required for a Register of Merit title with both the Palomino (PHBA) and the American Quarter Horse (AQHA).
With continued showing in 1994, he won the title of World Champion Palomino Stallion, went on to the Quarter Horse Congress and was 3rd in Open and Reserve in the Congress Strongid Futurity.  He stood 5th at the Quarter Horse World Show in Open as a yearling stallion.  In 1997 he was Grand Champion at multiple shows, 3rd at the AQHA World Show.  In 1997 Five Star had accumulated enough points to achieve the highest honor a Quarter Horse can earn - that of Superior Halter in Open and Amateur.  In 1998 he retired from showing with 138 1/2 points to enjoy his career as a breeding stallion.  Five Star Mister's genetics are out- standing on both sides.  "Mr. Conclusion", a World Champion, is the American Quarter Horse Associations' all-time World Champion-producing sire. His dam, "Name Your Poison", was the leading futurity producer in the nation in 1994 and has 5 point earning get. Out of Five Stars first foal crop a new star was born, "Five Star's My Pop", who won the Palomino World Championship in Open and Amateur at the age of 5 months and went on to win many futurities.  By the time he was 3 years old, he was a 6-time Palomino World Champion and 2-time Reserve World Champion.  Five Star's other offspring include "Uninimity", a 3-time Reserve World Champion Palomino; "RK Ladys First", a 2-time World Champion; and "Five Star Blue Winner", who won several futurities and went on to be Alabama's leading Quarter Horse yearling halter gelding and also was ranked 4th in the nation with AQHA.  "Misters Got The Blues", a sorrel stallion, and several other offspring won Five Star the title of Premier Money Earning Sire for the Alabama Quarter Horse Association Stallion Select Service Futurity for 3 years in a row.  Several offspring have been in the Top 10 at the Quarter Horse World.
